3. Information We Collect and How We Use It

A. Personal Identification Data

We do not collect personal identification data. All Around is accessible immediately without registration. We do not ask for, capture, or store your name, email address, physical address, phone number, contacts, or biometric information.

B. Local On-Device Storage (Preferences & Bookmarks)

Any personalized preferences you configure inside the app — including saved/bookmarked news articles, customized category orders, offline reading cache, and UI preferences (such as Dark Mode or reading font size) — are stored strictly on your local device via Android SharedPreferences / iOS local sandboxing. This information is never uploaded, synced, or sold to our servers.

C. Technical & Diagnostic Telemetry (Log Data)

To ensure the app runs smoothly, parses XML feeds without crashing, and loads articles quickly, we may receive anonymous, non-personally identifiable diagnostic telemetry provided automatically by your device or third-party diagnostic libraries (such as Google Play Services):

  • Device model, hardware specifications, and manufacturer (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S23, Pixel 8)
  • Operating system and version (e.g., Android 14, Android 15)
  • General network state (e.g., WiFi vs. Mobile Data) to optimize feed refresh intervals
  • Anonymized crash logs and stack traces to isolate and fix software bugs
  • Approximate location at country or city level derived from IP address for regional news sorting (no precise GPS coordinates)
Section 4

4. Device Permissions Requested

In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and Android Runtime Permission models, All Around only requests permissions strictly essential for its core functionality:

android.permission.INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

Required to connect to the internet, fetch updated RSS feed files, download article preview thumbnails, and display web pages.

android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Optional)

On Android 13+ devices, this permission is requested only if you explicitly choose to receive breaking news alerts or scheduled daily summaries. You can toggle or revoke this permission at any moment in your system settings.

* Note: All Around NEVER requests access to your Camera, Microphone, Photo Library, Contact List, SMS Messages, or Precise GPS Location.

Section 5

5. Third-Party Services & External Links

The App may integrate third-party developer software kits (SDKs) to provide infrastructure, analytics, or monetization:

  • Google Play Services: Used for platform core runtime, licensing, and in-app updates. Subject to Google Privacy Policy.
  • Advertising Networks (e.g. Google AdMob): If advertisements are served in the application, third-party ad vendors, including Google, may use device advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID) to serve non-personalized or personalized ads based on your settings. You can manage or reset your advertising ID in your phone's Settings > Google > Ads.
  • External Publisher Websites: When you tap "Read Full Article", you are redirected to the publisher's site. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or cookies placed by third-party publisher websites.
Section 6

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)

All Around is intended for a general audience interested in current affairs, business, technology, and news. Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will immediately delete such data. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Section 7

7. Data Retention & User Control

Because we do not store your reading bookmarks or category preferences on cloud servers, you have full sovereignty over your data at all times:

  • Clear Cache: You can clear all cached articles and temporary thumbnails from the app settings screen or via Android system settings.
  • Complete Deletion: Uninstalling the All Around app instantly and permanently purges all local bookmarks, saved articles, and cached news data from your physical device.
Section 8

8. Security of Information

We value your trust in using our news reader. The App utilizes industry-standard Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS) encryption for fetching syndicated RSS feeds and external publisher assets, protecting data in transit between your device and feed providers.

Section 9

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates, new syndication standards, or modifications in statutory regulations. Any updates will be published immediately on this web page at https://thebrandsphere.in/all-around-app/privacy, with an updated "Effective Date" displayed at the top.
